I return my rental car and the attendant said everything was fine. One month later I was notified by Avis that I was going to be charged for "excessive soilage". They said that the car was required to be reurned in the exact same condition in which it was given. They found some dog hair on the front passenger seat. My toy fox terrier did ride from the airport to my home and then back to the airport. They sent a picture and you could count the hairs. They claimed the had to take the vehicle out of service for a day = $35, vacuum = $75 and sent me a letter notifying me of the "excessive soilage" = $40... For a grand total of $150. We contacted manager Patrick Torres who could not explain why his employee would say that everything was fine. Yelp shows that they pull this scam frequently.
