Recieved a check for 1985.62 on or around 2/18. Checked all over the internet to try to verify if this was an actual company even went as far as calling the Wells Fargo branch to verify that it was an actual check. I was told that they did indeed have an actual active account with their branch but for privacy reasons they could not tell me if there was enough in the account to cover the check. On the 3 March I deposited it into my bank account and only was able to get $100.00 cash out of the bank at that time (which in hindsight was a good thing). Today, March 11 i received a notice from my bank that the check bounced and the bank had assessed the appropriate fees which bring the grand total up to 149.00 that I now owe my bank.
