I have been renting a safeguard self storage for about a year. I have never been late with a payment. The payment must be made by the 5th of each month. The payment for the month of March was received on the 6th instead of the 5th. I was told that I would have to pay a $10.00 late fee. I tried to convince the lady to forego the late payment because I had never been late with a payment but she said it was not her but the company's policy. I said fine and I told her to add it to next month's bill. She said fine. However, today when my husband tried to pick up an item from storage, he was not allowed to enter. Even though, the payment for them month was already made. I am just so disgusted with this whole situation because this company does not try to work with the customers. So I can't have access to the storage place until I paid the $10.00 fee NOW. I mean is that legal?
