My husband and I have electric service for our home. We are moving out of state and I called to stop electric service and was told I couldn't because I wasn't an "authorized user". They could only talk with him. At no time during the 13 years WE have had service with them, or when we first initiated service, did they ever tell us that he had to designate me as an"authorized user" for me to talk with them about the account. I pay the bills every month, we are married, and we live together at the service address. Now he has to find the time while he is out of state to call to stop the service—utterly stupid!!! I am SO GLAD we are leaving here!
