I recieved a cold call from "Windows Corp" and a representative of Windows repair who I stupidly gave access to my computer and who said I had 900 viruses in my computer. He said he could get rid of them if I gave him a couple of hours access to my computer. I unfortunately gave him access and he called back a couple of hours later saying my computer was fixed. He told me the charge was $150.00 for a senior lifetime service charge. He wanted it sent by e-check, but I refused. He kept bugging me about sending an e-check. I then read this board about being a scam and it made me furious about giving the agent access in the first place. The agent was "Jack Anderson", but spoke with a heavy east Indian accent, so I doubt seriously if that was his name. The call I recieved back was from Florida. So far I have not sent payment and am not happy with the service since I downloaded a copy of Microsoft security essentials and found all of the files he "Fixed" were still on my computer.
