I briefly went to school at Stevens Henager college, in which time I had pell grants as well as student loans to cover school. They had it set up for all of the money to go directly to them. I stopped going as I discovered that none of the credits were transferable nor was it an accredited school. I have paid back all of the student loans and now SHC is trying to sue me for $14,000 I don't feel that I owe them anything. They are damaging my credit score. This all took place in 1994, which in my under standing, is past the legal jurisdiction for collection. When I spoke to them I was told that I had to pay for the degree even though I did get it, nor did I feel I was getting an education. How is this legal? Something needs to be done here. Stevens Henager is ripping people off and should be held accountable for their corrupt ways of misleading people trying to better their lives. They should be closed down and or exposed.
