Everest on line told me the full tuition was put on grants that would not have to be paid back. Ten months after being in school I realize when I want to apply for another pell grant that the finacial aid office never put any of the tuition on pell grant or any kind of grant it had all been put on to student loans that would have to be paid back. When I asked why this was done without my concent finacial aid told me that I didn't qualify for financial aid (mind you I am a single mom of four children who makes less that 15,000.00 a year).
Any way to make a long story short I told them I couldn't afford this and would like to transfer to a college in the town where I live then they send me a check for $107.00 with an email that says I owe a zero balance. So I go to the new college and sign up, go on my fafsa and change my school codes. Then send in the slip for my transfers then they tell me I not only owe the 8,000.00 in student loans but I still owe the school 1500.00 before I can get my transcripts. So here I am stuck with 8,000.00 in student loans and no transcripts starting all over. This sucks! Someone please help and let me know what I can do. They should not be aloud to get away with this.
