Greyhound new policy and lateness - Greyhound

Greyhound has a new policy that requires passengers to specify the time that they are going to return on a round trip ticket. If your plans change, for example you plan to meet a client who cancels, or a meeting runs long, you are required to pay an additional $15 fee. Whatever bureaucrat who came up with the idea needs to be reminded that we are no longer in the industrial age where assembly-line work made it possible to precisely forecast when the work day will end. Greyhound seems not to realize that many of their passengers are commuters, knowledge workers. They stay at work for however long it takes to get the job done. They make bad matters worse by having rude bus drivers who are so zealous to enforce the rule that they will drive off with empty seats on the bus if you arrive early and will make you miss a bus by having to pay the penalty if you arrive late. Nothing like a punitive customer service policy—THE CUSTOMER IS WRONG AND SHOULD PAY. If you have an alternative take it. They don't deserve your business.
