I purhcased and online background check for $20.00 but found and additional charge on my credit card for $39.95 from Inflection, LLC which I found out is the parent company of PeopleSmart.
In researching who Inflection was I found this site wiht more 120 similar complaint.
This is a scam wher ethey make a hidden charge that is not authorized and claim it is a "membership fee."
