Paid for assistance in locating a personal loan because my credit is only fair. Custom Credit Services guaranteed that they would provide me with at least 10 sources for such a loan. I paid them $75.00 and received a list of financial institutions that anyone could have put together without any effort—Bank of America was one of the sources provided. It was obvious at that point that this was a scam; I was not about to initial credit inquiries and be rejected.
Right after I received the list that CCS provided, I emailed them to request a refund and requested there telephone number and physical mailing address. I have not received any reply.
Today, I contacted my bank, Bank of America, and asked that this particular transaction be treated as a fraud; tomorrow I am suppose to call and request that it be reversed which I will do.
