We had directv, which we were paying what we thought was too much, when an AT&T Uverse saleswoman knocked on our door. They were informing us that AT&T would be in our neighborhood doing phone line updates. We told her we didn't have a phone. My husband began talking with her about internet and uverse. She promised us the wireless receiver and a $200 Visa rewards card for signing up plus our tv and internet bundle was to be $80 per month for a year. It's been a year and each month our bill gets higher and higher with our promotion year ending next month. We NEVER got our Visa card and our last three bills were $168, $172, and $184. We also were ineligible for the wireless receiver for whatever reason (which is why we switched because we wanted that). The second I can get out of this plan I'm DONE. Also cancelling our incredibly high cell phone plan with them. 6 months ago the phone stopped working and we went into the wireless store to make money saving changes on that line. No one did anything to save any money. JUST got off the phone with a CSR who changed it and is going to save us $40 a month. WHy didn't they do this 6 months ago in the store? Also our neighbors right next door can't get uverse because they "don't live in a service area". I like the tv and the internet is fast when it works. If you sit in certain places it doesn't work and videos stop over and over to buffer. Tired of being screwed out of my hard earned money. Prepaid cell phones and basic tv here we come.
