Shortly after Feldco finished installing 25 replacement windows at my home in December I noticed that the half-moon window in my master sitting room (not included in the project) was cracked. I immediately called Feldco and spoke to a Mr. Ken McKay @ 708-583-4000 to have this rectified. Mr. McKay sent out a representative to look at the window and that person even took a template of the window. On January 29th Mr. McKay informed me that Feldco could not be responsible for the window and in fact believed it was cracked before the project was started. It seems hard to believe that three different Feldco personnel (from the sales person to the second measurement to the installer) looked at the window and not one of them pointed it out or reported it to me. Nor does it seem likely that a home absent of small children would have two grown adults crack the window intentionally then blame it on Feldco. I was informed that the glass cost would be $60.50 but yet Feldco would charge me $150 to replace it. This seems absurd considering the project size and simply bad business not to do the right thing here.
