I cancelled my People Magazine mid-year last year. All of a sudden out of the blue, I started to receive People Magazine again. Upon checking, I found a charge of $140.95 to the credit card I had given a couple of years ago, for this amount which I did not authorize. Upon calling many numbers and not being able to speak to a real person at People Magazine, I finally was able to connect to someone. To my dismay and alarm, she said that I needed to contact an agency I'd never heard of called Synapse Group which is the one who renewed the subscription without my authorization. Upon contacting Synapse by phone and online, I could not talk to a real person. I was able to cancel the magazine by phone and online, but was not able to get a refund for the amount they took illegally.
