About 8 years ago i opened an account went off to school in Kentucky and left the account open for mymother to use because she needed the service. Checked the account and noticed she wasn't paying it. So i wrote Directv asking them to disconnect the service because i didn't want it on my credit. Went through the process of having a code put on the account so she wouldn't have access to it. Got an email saying that the account was no longer in service and my mother had it in her name... Now here it is 8 years later and i want the service... They took 221.65 off my debit card and gave me an installation date for the next day 12 -4. Called off work so i could be there all for them to never show up. I called wanting to know what happen. Got the run around for an hour. All just to find out that the account that was supposedly closed wasn't. My mother its behind on that bill so now i can't get service until she pays. I asked how could that be if my name isn't even on the bill and i don't live at that address... Was told by a rude representative that it didn't matter because the account was originally opened in my name. So i called another number with my mother on 3way to help explain the situation. All i got was its nothing they could do. Because i am the original account holder. Its that legal for them to do? And now its up in the air if i would get my money back... So stay away from this provider THEY ARE RUDE AND WILL LIE.
