Horrible delivery service: FedEx and Smartpost subcontracting

Fedex cannot read, the FedEx delivery truck is a non-descript van in white (for a couple of weeks, the guy rented a moving truck while his was "in the shop") and 1/4 the time the guy decides it's too late so updates the delivery status as "unable to deliver; address unknown. 1/4 of the time he delivers it to a neighbor. As if we'll all just to disperse the packages properly: one stop dropping for him! Make your people READ the address. A house that's been around since 1962 is not "unlocatable" after 5PM because the guy in the white van decides he's too lazy to deliver. This make it MY problem since I have to track and followup the issue. I have seen only success from UPS. Try sub-contracting with them instead of using your own folks or using the Smartpost - post office option. Or maybe you should give your drivers aptitude tests. I detest any deliveries from Smartpost or out of Halethorpe. I know ther's a better than 50% chance I'll have a problem. I have now removed all deliveries from Fedex and have gone to UPS as the single source. When it's Smartpost, and I call to find out the staus, the reps alwyas say: nothing we can do now, it was sent to the local Post office. What a crock of "hand washing" so you don't have to deal with the tracking on your website.
