A man calling himself dave from mega million sweepstakes / publishers clearing house call to inform me that i had won 40 million dollars and a new car... After many phone calls, that by the way was charged to my home phone, and my like of good judgement he has robbed me of over $ 20,000.00 which was the life savings that my husband and i had saved over our 65 yr. Marriage. The day after my husband was buried this man called me. I had never handled an of our financial business... Therefore was a prime subject to fall for this scam... I could just see myself paying off my children's mortgages and loans. I would buy my sister a house because she had been there thru my husband's 2yr. Battle with cancer... I couldn't see the scam. After someone reported to the police that i was buying many of these pre-paid cards. I still couldn't believe that i had just lost everything i had. So when i stopped sending the money the phone harassment began. I had my number changed to unlisted.in 30 min. He called on my new number. I changed it again, same thing he called me within the day... I had my phone shut off... Then no contact for 2 months. Now he has contacted all the people in my town that has my last name. The police have known every detail of this event, even the f.B. I has been contacted for help. It seems that no one can stop him... What can i do to stop this man from contacting me???
