International Adventure Properties
Consumer Report

We were contacted by phone, Dec 12 by International Adventure Properties (IAP). The caller indicated he had a buyer-renter for our timeshare in Cancun, Mexico. He specifically indicated our weeks at the Krystal International Vacation Club. He faxed us a letter to verify we were interested. On 12/28, we were sent a contact/guarantee the 12 weeks would be rented for $23,880. On 1/2, we signed and returned the rental contract to IAP, agreement #12302. On 1/2, IAP referred us to Group Seven Title Company (GSTC). We received an email from GSTC guaranteeing payment agreement and opening an escrow account (contract#283710). We were requested to wire $6300 for deposit in the escrow account. The $6300 was payment for 12 weeks vacation maintenance. On 1/2, IAP agreement 12302 guarantees the total reimbursement will be $30,180 (rental maintenance fees). On 1/9, $4,537.20 was requested, for IVA taxes, and wired to the escrow account. We were told that NAFTA allows for IVA taxes paid to Mexico, exempts taxes being paid to the USA. On 1/14 we received an email confirming a wire indicating $34,717 was sent to our bank. We have not received funds and phones calls to IAP and GSTC are unanswered.
