Met this man on a dating service. We exchanged e-mail addresses, and began chatting and writing. He then began calling me. After only a few weeks, he began declaring his love for me. Within a month, he told me that he would be coming to the states after he had completed the job he was working on in London and Africa to settle down with me. Three months into our communication, he told me that he had gotten himself into trouble with money - his accountant hadn't figured his expenses out properly - the accountant is in the states. He claimed that in order to get money from this accountant, he'd need to meet with him person to person, and until then, he needed to borrow five thousand dollars from me to complete his work in Africa. I told him that I wanted to do a video chat with him to be sure he was the person in the picture he had sent, and he told me that the technology in Africa would not allow for it. He's been calling me daily begging me for the money claiming that his professional career will be ruined if he doesn't get the money and he has no other options but me. He swears I'll get the money back and that we'll live happily ever after. Although he claims to have been born in Scotland and raised in London, he has an African accent. He also claims to be a systems analyst with his own company registered internationally and that he has a master's degree yet his grammar, and spelling are horrible. I realize now, that I am being scammed and want to report this before he knows that I am aware that I'm being scammed.
