I have been attempting to get my heater fixed since December. I purchased the Service Sentry Coverage since I purchased the heater and c entral air conditioner new from the South Jersey Gas Company. They hot wired the heater the last time they were here so it would work until his boss returned from vacation so he could get approval to order the part that was expensive. The hot wire only worked a week and the heater broke again.
This time they said the heat exchanger burnt up. They said they were ordering the part, but now they said I have to wait until they call me to schedule the repair when the part comes in. I have been without a working heater since December and have been using my gas fireplace to heat the house. I have my 80 year old mother who is on oxygen 24 hrs a day and she is scared of the open flame in the fireplace so she had to stay near the fireplace or freeze to death. Please help me get South Jersey Energy Service Plus to honor their contract and fix my heater asap.
