St johons for the past 5yrs alloed my to split the first payment of 317.50 i sent 11/20 i was going to send the sencond payment in dec. I had a sergal procceedure at the va. Someone in billing didnt cash my first check they sent it back dec19th. I called they said send checks my domestic partner wrote out a check for317.50 i sent them in the 20ht of dec. My policy was due 12/31. They called and said they dint receive payment and to wait awhile meanwhile im not covered. I waited until the 14 of jan to stop payment on checks i called st johns and they said if checks came in and didnt clear they would carge me 25.00$ a check. I called my allstate agent and found a new company i sent a cancallation letter faxed. The other day sat i received both checks back the stamp on the front was jan 2. They held the cecks for some reason it cost me 31.00$ in stop payment. They refuse to pay met that money im a disabled veteran i cant get scamed.
