In October we ordered phones through cox communications tele-sales department for a bundle promotion. After placing our order and giving our credit card info we were told to verify with verizon. When we tried to verify with verizon we were informed that the sale could not be completed because cox sold us phones that werent in stock, therefore the charge that was pending would be dropped because the order could not be processed. Upon the advice of a verizon employee (over the phone) we went to the local walmart and purchased the phones we wanted and paid a deposit in cash to start service. This happened on a saturday (oct 13) The following Monday our card was charged the fees for the shipping of the phones as well as the deposit. The phones showed up the next day leaving us with 4 phones (we only wanted 2) and had us pay $500 in deposits (we only owed $250) After numerous phone calls, faxes, emails, and even in store complaints our problem was not resolved promptly or efficiently. We were told (and have a signed statement) by a verizon employee at the store in Owasso, OK that once the phones were received that we shipped back our refund would be sent to us. Verizon received the phones around the 28th of October (I know because I got the refund for the shipping) I have been waiting over 2 and a half months to get a deposit back (which still isn't in my bank) that I should of never been charged in the first place according to your representatives.
