I contacted city auto brokers by looking through an ad in an auto book. I called the number that was given and a male by the name of andy answered and said, that he can help me. He told me the things i needed to bring, i reassured him that i had them. So him and the general manager kendal came to pick upmy boyfriend and i to take us to the place. There they just left us free to roam the car lot. When we picked out the car we thought was best they told us that we were not entitled to these certain cars that were on something they called a 'floor plan'. So we were forced to focus on a set of vehicles that they picked out. One of them was a 2005 cadillac srx. After talking to them making sure nothing was wrong with the car and it hadnt been in any accidents. We decided to go through with the paper work. I already had insurance so i called my insurance co. To swith the vehicle over and the general manager kendall was giving me a hard time about that and he also cursed out and hung up on my insuraance agent. Which i thought was very, very unprofessional! After going through and signing all the paper work i was able to drive it off the lot. I bought the car on a thursday. That saturday i had it inspected. The people at capitol cadillac had printed out the inspection paper it had numerous maintenance that was needed. The transmission was slipping and wouldnt change gears, the drive shaft was rusty and the axles were leaking also the power steering was going out. I called andy and kendall to see when they would be able to fix it. At first they were not trying to hear what i was saying nor fix it. When i asked about the owner and if i could have his number to contact him, they quickly had a change of heart and told me to bring it in. The next day the car broke down and i called kendal to inform him, his reply was 'oh'. This made me really upset and i've had it with their unprofessional antics. On tuesday just 5 days after yhe initial purchase i started the car up and drove it all the back to city auto brokers. The whole way there it was dragging, i prayed we'd make it there safe and we did. I asked repeatedly for my down payment back and kendal told me and i quote "we don't do refunds"! They even tried to convince me to get another car, but then told me i would still be responsible for the rest of the balance on the cadillac. I told them no, here goes your vehicle and i don't wish to do any more business with you all. I called a taxi for a ride back home. These people are very sneaky and shady. They are running some type of fraudulent scam up there. They have salesmen sitting in their cars smoking, eating, and laughing. They are very rude and coniving! I have taken all the action i need and they will be hearing from my lawyer! Don' do business with city auto brokers, they will rip you off!
