On December 1st, I did an audit of my checking account as I always do every first of the month. I always keep my receipts for each and every purchase that I make, no matter if it is at a local retailer or an online purchase... At the end of my audit I noticed that there was a $29.95 shortage... I did not think too much of it at the time because I had already started making a lot of Christmas purchases over the internet and I figured that I may have purchased something that I had not received a receipt for or had failed to print one out... I decided that I would do some further research when I would perform my audit on January 1st... I went through every single receipt from the beginning of November until December 31st, and after 4 hours I discovered that I had no receipts for $29.95... The next thing I did was to go online and print out my checking account statements beginning from November 1st.
