Purchased a netgear router when siging up to cox for internet service. The router is a wnr2000 and is warrantied for life (as stated on the box). I called cox and spent over 2 hrs on tech support then an addional hr with level 2 support which resulted in a house call by one of cox's techs. When the cox tech arrived he again determined that the problem resided with the router but informed me it was out of warranty. He then tried to sell me a cisco all in one unit which I refused. I then went to the netgear site and upon inserting my router serial number found it to be a lifetime warranty item that expired in 2039. I tried to warranty it thru Netgear but they said I needed to do it thru Cox. After numerious emails and asking for an rma... Making over a dozen calls to cox and being disconnected and routed all over hell... I turned here to see what can be done.
