Like others on your site, I was checking to see if I had contributed to a certain charity on my Wells Fargo Mastercard when I began noticing these monthly payments of $24.63. The first was in August, then September, October and November. I googled the name and came up with all the scam notices against CheckMate. I then called Wells Fargo and am now returning a Declaration of Fraud and Forgery. Wells Fargo has been great. I also called CheckMate, got a lady on the line who just told me that she would cancel my "membership." I then mentioned that I had contacted Wells Fargo and she said wait while she talked to her supervisor. She then came back and said the company would return the charges. Whether this happens or not, it's now in the hands of Wells Fargo Bank.
