I saw an add in a local newspaper to call Casting 360 to register for movie extra roles. The call seemed fine and dandy, the man said to start my portfolio would be a one time charge of $1.98 but that I also have the option to continue with some service for $34.90 a month. I told him, "NO, I would not like to be charged for that." He continued with letting me know that he understood, that it was optional, I assumed that was a done deal.
I still decided to cancel the card with the information that had been given to them. My bank (somehow) did not actually cancel said card, and I was charged $34.90. When I tried to dispute, Casting360 provided documents to my bank that I HAD authorized the charge.
Upon calling Castin360 back to get a refund, a man played for me a recording of my original conversation, where I heard myself request not to be charged, but that there was nothing they could do because in order to not be charged, I had to call back later to tell them...
This is straight up unacceptable. I'm lucky to have cancelled my card before more charges were made.
