I had an electronic check post to mny account for $30. I called the company that it was made out to (Vantage Funding) and was told that I applied for an online loan and the $30 was a check processing fee. I have never applied for a loan with these people so I don't even know how they got my information. I called the four times and everytime I asked for my money back they would hang up the phone. The last time I called the lady told me in order to get a refund of the $30 I would have to log on to their website and finish the loan application that I never started in the first place. How do they get you information and how do they charge you $30 for processing when they tell you that your paperwork hasn't been completed and that you need to go online to finish it? It makes no sense and now I'm afraid that someone is using my information and I don't know if this company will go back into my account again and try to get more money out. My bank was no help allt he suggested was that I file a dispute witht he company and/or report it to the police and make a report. I want my $30 back and I don't want them to get any more money from my account.
