Bad attitude and bad customer "no" service

I don't think that I have ever written a complaint letter before, but this one was difficult to let it go. What amazes me was that it was only a $3.00 item and the cashier obviously did not know the mission statement of her store. It reads as follows... Dollar General Careerswww2. I have been in sales and retail most of my life and understand that mission statement! I purchased a $3.00 kitty laser pen item today at a Dollar General store in Suwanee, GA and my receipt didn't print clearly down the middle... But enough to show the amount and the item and that I paid cash. The spunky cashier I purchased it from told me that it was ok and that she could read the receipt if I needed to return it... Her name was Leslie at Register 2 around 12:20pm.By the way, this is the second time I have had printing problems with register receipts in that store. Well, the pen did not work so I returned it tonight and wanted my money back around 5:30pm. There was a new cashier there and her name was Sherylle Ellis who was one of the rudest individuals I have ever met. She basically told me that I had two choices and then she listed three... I could get a gift card, buy something else or come back the next day to see a manager but she claimed to be one herself. She proceeded to call another manager, Tabitha Simon, at my request and then continued to ring up other customers. Other people in line told me to report her and the incident that her behavior was not acceptable. I told her I just wanted my $3.00 cash back and that I would spend more in gas money to come back tomorrow of which I am working and couldn't possibly do that any way. I was there for more than 20 minutes and Ms Ellis basically told me to take it or leave it that those were my choics or I could just leave everything there and forget I ever made a purchase in that store... Then she continued to help others check out. WOW, over three dollars. I left with my receipt and my broken kitty laser pen and vowed to report the cashier with the bad attitude and customer "NO SERVICE" as Clark Howard would deem it!
