We had a three year contract with Waste Management that ended in May.in February I called Waste Management to tell them that I would not be renewing the contract and that my last month was May. They told me that I could not cancel until my salesperson had spoken to me. I waited several weeks and the salesperson never called back. Called Waste Management again and told they I wanted to cancel once my contract expired, same story, cannot cancel until salesperson says so. Few more weeks called again and was told that I needed to send a certified letter to them, by now we are in April, and I'm told that I would not be able to cancel in May because they needed two months leadtime from the time they get the letter, remember that since February I have been trying to cancel. Now they are charging me until July because they did not process my letter on time.
I think they do this on purpose, make canceling difficult so they can continue to bill the customer. I will complain with the BBB also. This is illegal what they are doing.
