I purchased a trust from legal zoom, I selected the "Legal advantage" trust, which showed as listed as a higher price from the "basic" trust. I was properly charged the higher price. A month later I noticed a charge of $14.99 from legal zoom on my debit card.
I just spent 25 minutes on the phone to find that the plan I chose automatically signs you up for the "Legal advantage Plus" service. I even unchecked a box that I thought would keep me out of some reoccurring charge when I purchased the trust.
Instead of simply canceling the "legal advantage plus" they were contentious insisting that it was written one quarter way down the page and that an email was sent to me saying I'd be charged on December 11th. Obviously, I wasn't the first person to call in with the same issue judging by their intimate knowledge of their menu system.
What could have been a great service was marred by a disingenuous greed that stripped them of any bit of integrity. It is like buying legal services from a used car dealer.
