Cellulean
Company is breaking the law by giving no terms or privacy policy links at all. Be sure it is NOT free

While I have seen some of their websites have the terms on them, the site, which i have put a link to has absolutely NO links to terms, conditions, or a privacy policy, in violation of the law. A company cannot just decide against disclosing terms and privacy policy on their site, whether they want to or not. Sure, if potential customers see what cellulean will do with their information and account number, they'd most likely run screaming, but that fact does not relive cellulean from the obligation of disclosing the terms.

Patrick J. Leddy, the president of this company, really needs to reevaluate his site, and his business model. There are MANY free trial scams out there. These companies are under the false impression that as long as they put terms somewhere, almost always VERY difficult to find, that they have full liberty over your information. That is simply NOT true. See, when a company has the deliberate intent of continuously charging your account, they must CLEARLY disclose the terms to the consumer BEFORE they order. Also, a company needs to remind the consumer of the continuous charging with the invoice as well. Putting a link in tiny font, at the bottom of the website, that leads to another page, where, buried under much other print, usually somewhere in the middle, is the true cost of the product, is NOT CLEAR DISCLOSURE. CLEAR DISCLOSURE WOULD BE USING BOLD LARGE FONT, SO EVEN OLDER PEOPLE CAN SEE WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INTO LIKE THIS, PUT BEFORE SUBMITTING AN ORDER IS CLEAR DISCLOSURE.

Comapnies should put this clear warning of continued charges on the same page as the information submission, and placed above the area where the consumer fills out their information.

For the consumer's convenience, i have tracked down cellulean's secret terms:

They also claim to have the "Friendliest" customer service. I have read many complaints that say otherwise. They also claim to have 100% satisfaction guarantee, but i've seen no evidence of that either, because many have said they flat out refuse to give you a refund.

Hmmmm... Doesn't sound like a satisfaction guarantee, nor the "friendliest" customer service either.

Well, there are some things you can and MUST do if you want any hope of escaping the relentless debiting of your account - which is no doubt your food, rent, utilities, and gas money for you and your children.

First, u need to immediately get out of this outrageous membership. U really need to call ur bank first, inform them a fraudulent company has ur account details, and ur calling them to cancel all memberships u have with them and request that the bank stay on the line with u and record it. Let cellulean know right off that ur bank is on the line and recording the conversation. Tell them u want any and ALL memberships canceled. Flat out ask them if u are signed up to anything else even with another company as a result of u getting the trial. Tell them u want those also canceled immediately. They signed u up for it, so they can cancel it too. Also, DEMAND an rma number to send back the product u have from them. If they say u dont need one, tell them u know u do and demand it, reminding them the bank is still on the line too.

Now, take a picture of the product, and the package ur sending it back in, write the rma in humongous font and take a pic of the number and the correct address on the package. Also, pay to have delivery signature confirmation, as well as insurance and tracking. Yes, it's extra money, but they will use every excuse they can think of to have the product back but keep ur money.

Also, tell ur bank u know the work of these criminal companies and go ahead and get ur account number changed. Yes, it's a pain, but not only do they use a large number of different names to go ahead and dip right back in to your money for your children's food, but their friends they'll share it with (like spoiled teenage girls) go by lots of names too. They will never stop the stealing.

Also, demand ur money back theyve already gone crazy on. Let them know the terms were NOT clearly disclosed to u and if they were u wouldve never gotten the non free trial. Let them know that u did NOT agree to paying that much for the product, and the terms are hidden, in violation of consumer protection laws. If they laugh and refuse, tell them that's fine, but u will have no choice but to initiate a chargeback because it is a fraudulent charge, and you ARE also reporting them to the bbb - bbb.org, the ftc - ftc. Gov, the attorney general of california, and especially to the fbi - ic3. Gov

This is a crime and treat it as such.
