Scriptlance is the worst place to get scripts work done.
I had signed up on Scriptlance.
I hired one person and paid that person for their work.
I needed additional work and posted another job. Due to the nature of the job, I needed it done in 4 days.
After WEEKS of waiting to get it completed, I decided to cancel the job, request my money from scriptlances escrow service and find someone that could do it promptly as the job specified.
I posted the job again and a programmer took the job and had it completed within 10 hours.
Although this programmer had completed it within 10 hours - I hadn't even paid the programmer as I was waiting on scriptlance to release the money back into my account from their escrow.
I contacted scriptlance requesting a refund and after 4 days of waiting, I was told by scriptlance staff that I needed to wait several days to see if the other guy that never completed the job could do the job...!!! - Get this, The job was suppose to be completed in 4 days not weeks as scriptlance wanted. After all, who posted this job? - Myself or scriptlance?
Scriptlance had no business changing my terms of the agreement to suit thier needs. This is a clear violation of a contract!
It would be like eBay trying to change the length of an auction in an attempt to try and make more money in the final payment. This is clearly fraud!
When I complained about it to scriptlance (I wanted my money back so I could pay the programmer that actually done the job) Scriptlance banned my username!
In the end, Simply because I disputed Scriptlance for taking my money. They banned my account and the second programmer was never paid for the second job. So, thanks to Scriptlance's fraud policy. You have myself that was banned and you have a couple of programmers that was never paid for work they completed.
The law states that terms have to be spelled out. According to scriptlances policy which I have copied, Refunds from scriptlance's escrow is to be completed within 3 days. This did not happen and resulted in my username being banned as well as two people not getting paid. This is false advertising as well as fraud.
I am filing this complaint here, as well as on every consumer site I know to ensure that my case is the exception and not the rule!
I have contacted the Canadian authorities who gave me another address to file a fraud complaint with. I am in the process of filing that complaint since Scriptlance is located outside the U.S.
I have also file a complaint with the U.S. FBI internet fraud division as well as contacted my local Senator who is actually a good friend of mine.
The internet is chopped full of sites about scriptlance's fraud practices. Here is some that I found at one complaint site...

On ll/7/03, I checked my Bank of America account online and found that my account had been emptied. The money had been transferred to my PayPal account. I then went to my PayPal account and found that payments had been made to R3N3 Internet Services - [email protected]. These transactions were NOT authorized by me.
This is what happened:
R3N3 Internet Services owns Scriptlance, http://www.scriptlance.com/. I have/had an account there. R3N3 Internet Services used my Scriptlance account info to hack into my Yahoo email account and then used my Yahoo email account to hack into my PayPal account and proceeded to rape my bank account using my PayPal account.
Any body with similiar experiences, contact me to join in bringing this criminal to justice!

This site claims to put webmasters with the right programmers. Allowing the programmers to bid on the project... But after 3 tries using different login names but using the same project infomation... Each time I take a bid I have recieved NO programming!
Each time the webmaster is asked to pay a fee as good faith to the programmer. One programmer refused to start the project but recieved the start up fee... One programmer after starting the project wanted and extra $500 PER PAGE before they would realease the page to me... His bid from scriptlance and extra $4,000!!! Thus holding my project hostage. But did recieve the fee for having the winning bid.
I asked for a refund of the 5% of the bid placed in the account ScripLance said they would send me a refund minus their fees in the end I recieved a refund of only $12.50 on the $50.00 of what ScripLance was given in good faith!
The last programmer after being showed just what the project was... All the html that needed to be scripted and installed on my webhost... Said he could have the project done and up and running on the net within 3 days... After a month of trying get even a sample of work done he said he was working on 4 other Scriplance projects and would get to my programming when he 'felt like it'!!!
ScriptLane is ripping off people who in good faith are placeing project on his site for his programmers to bid on. I have checked the messages left by others who have also asked for projects to be done by ScripLance programmers and see that they too had the same problems...
People need to be warned about this company! So that they will not get ripped off by them
