FreeAdvertisingForum.com
Online scam

This site was in the Google search results for Free Advertising. I wanted to place a free ad. I completed the registration on this site. The site states that you must view at least five unique threads before posting your own ad. I had no problem with that; I viewed MORE than five, and I checked the names of the posters, skipping duplicate ads posted by the same name. But even AFTER viewing many unique threads, I STILL get the same message when I try to post my ad. After wasting time typing my ad, I clicked Preview to see how it looked and I got that same message. Then just to see what would happen I clicked Submit New Thread and AGAIN got the same message.

The site does not show an e-mail address, but every time I click Contact Us, I get this message: Sorry. The email function has been disabled by the administrator. I called the phone number they list and left two messages. It will be interesting (or more likely surprising) if anybody calls back!

Also, when I first went to this site and clicked the link to go to the forums, a page opened up offering a bunch of materials on mini-sites; the page claims for a long time that these are 'absolutely free, ' but of course I know better. I clicked the button saying 'skip this offer and go directly to the forums.' But every time I tried this (several times), a page appeared to load (i.E. It had a title), but when it opened, it was just a BLANK PAGE. So out of curiosity I went back to the 'free' mini-site information offer and clicked it.

It turns out that the actual materials cost $97.00. It did start to load something which said 'one-time only, ' so the author's claim that you could view all the information on your computer for free is probably true. I did not actually view it, as I was not interested in it in the first place. Even if I were, I would not be able to remember, bookmark, or save any of it, so it would be of no use to me. But since I wasn't interested, I just wanted to see if going through this offer would allow me to go to the forums, and it did, but once I got there, it won't let me post an ad even after I've met the requirement of viewing at least five unique threads. Maybe there's something I'm missing here, but the whole thing seems to me like a big ripoff.
