I ended up on a site called televisionfanatic.com and was told I could get over 3000 tv stations on my computer. At first the price was 19.99 for basic services with 2 add ons at 9.99 each. I went to close the page and was told that I could now purchase it at 15.99 plus the two 9.99s. Again I went to close the page and now am being told that I could get it for free. So I clicked on the link to "get it for free" which took me to trialpay.com. Here I was to complete 1 offer online out of multiple choices and I would be credited instantly for my purchase. I chose Mystery Guild Book Club and bought the introductory offer of 5 books for. 99 cents with the obligation of having to purchase another 4 books in 2 years. I went back to the television fanatic page and was asked if I completed the offer. I clicked on yes and the page went to "we do not show your credit as of yet, please refresh this page in 5 minutes." I continuously refreshed the page the rest of the day and into the night with the same message.
The next morning I refreshed the page and was taken back to television fanatic's home page. I contacted trialpay.com and explained the situation. I get the automated message that my email has been received. The next day I get an email from trialpay asking for me to forward my introductory email and account number to them to prove that I bought the books. No problem, I had it in my email. I forwarded the email to them and added to the top of the email "here is the receipt that you requested". The next day I get another email from trialpay again asking for the proof of membership. Same wording and everything. So again, I emailed the introductory email to trialpay.
About 12 hours later again I receive another email that reads the same as the previous two. So I forwarded it a 3rd time with the note that this is the 3rd time I have forwarded this email to you. Another 14 hours and I get the same email back again. This is obviously a scam. Since I used a debit card to purchase my book club membership I doubt I can cancel it, and besides it wasn't mystery guilds fault but I will NEVER deal with anything that is associated with Trialpay and further more after researching television fanatic I find nothing but complaints on them also. I wish I had reviewed this prior to me completeing an offer that now I have to fulfill.
