I purchased a Maytag Maxima front load washer, model MHW7000X, from Sears Outlet on 12/31. It was listed as "Like New" and said it was a flood model and have never been installed in a customers home. It is currently covererd by the manufactures warranty which comes with all purchases form sears outlet for 1 year.
7 months after purchasing it stopped working, repair crews spent 3 weeks fixing it and ended up adding a new control board and new wiring.
9 months after purchasing the machine EXPLODED!!! Plastic pieces were blown off of the machine, metal ball bearings literally SHOT across the room, causing damage to walls, a heavy counterbalance weight (about 50 lbs) was thrown across the room, the drum of the machine came out, and more. It was a complete disaster, luckily nobody was killed because the flying pieces of metal would have killed anyone who was standing near the machine at the time.
