Stay away from Jdate! It is the worst online dating service out there. They use a number of deceptive practices to get you to join. Also it has the ugliest women. You are allowed to put up a profile and "browse for free". This is all well and good. You get to see who is available in your area. If you don't subscribe and give them your money, you will find yourself getting "winked" by the hottest girls on the site.
I am in my 40's and divorced. I am cute, but honestly winks from 21 year olds? These are obviously fake profiles and women who the company pays to send out winks, to entice you to join. Then you give them you money you message these girls, and you never hear from them. They are obviously plants. Also the site is prohibitively expensive at $39.99 per month.
Also you can sign up for one month, but they will somehow switch you over to a full membership which costs over a $140. They are scammers and thieves and all the people responsible should be taken out and hung from a tree. They also don't give you a refund or prorate a refund if you decide to leave the site. Other sites like Match do. Don't get involved with this site. The company is filled with a bunch of thieves looking for the next sucker.
The girls are either ugly (a lot of fat jewish girls), mentally ill, will string you along, and the pretty ones are snooty and stuck up. Jewish dating is extremely difficult in the real world, but this site actually is a more exaggerated version of that. If the girls are relatively normal, they are single because they have a dry/stiff personality.in other words... Not a whole lot of fun to hang with. I met a girl who was a maxiofacial surgeon, but she was single.
I call her "the dry doc". I am an LCSW, and when I met her one of the first questions she asked me was, "what's wrong with me?".in other words, she was wondering why she is a surgeon and still has to resort to a lousy site like JDate to find a guy. She was basically normal, but had a dry/stiff personality. Not exactly the playful/flirtatious type. She had a very formal was of speaking and sounded like a news anchor woman.
She also grilled me with a lot of questions and I felt like I was being tested. Hanging out with her is about as much fun as a root canal. Point is... Even though I am Jewish I stay away from Jewish girls. They tend to be tightly wrapped, dry, cold and you need a very big wallet for them to even give you their time. I have always done much better with non-Jewish girls, because they are more playful, easy going, and don't give you an oral exam when you meet them. Jewish girls ask a lot of questions on dates.

Also I am trying to get some people to start a class action suit against Sparks media. They should be out of business.
