Viscom V2premier
Rip off

I too wish I would have read these reports before buying from viscom. I have had nothing but problems with my computer since day one. I tried using the digital lifeline in the beginning to try and figure out the problem and I had trouble contacting them in the beginning.

After my warranty was nearly over, the techs told me to contact Viscom's customer service. It's really hard to get through to them and when I finally did, I was told (by the supervisor) that it was a hardware problem and he would stop the 30 day warranty but in reality the 30 days was up that day.

The warranty starts the day you purchase the computer, not from the day you receive the computer. I told the supervisor, Tom badge #131, that I use my computer for business and that it is unexceptable for me to go without a computer for an extended period of time. He told me that I should give him my credit card information so he can protect himself from me sending him a box of rocks and he will send out the new tower the next day after ups has picked up the old tower.

I waited for 13 days and the computer still hasn't arrived. I called back and I was told that they had just sent it off that day. I was told by the supervisor that the tower would arrive within 4 days after shipping the old computer.

Now they have a $1000.00 of my money and I don't have a computer. I have to send the computer back and pay all shipping and handeling fees and they won't let me keep my free gift. The portable DVD player. They advertise what a great product this is and you get a 6 megapixel digital camcorder. It's not a 6 megapixel camera, it's a 3.4 megapixel and it doesn't come with a memory card.

There is no real way to know if the camera really works because you have to buy a special memory card for it. Obviously these computers have defective hardware and yet viscom and shopNBC are allowed to rip off the public because apparently they have been selling these computers for years now.

I have tried calling shopNBC's customer service line since I have had this computer and they keep telling me they will have a supervisor call me back and it has been over 2 months now and no one has called me back yet. I am still to this day trying to get a hold of them.

I'm afraid this nightmare may just beginning after reading all of these reports on this website. I haven't sent the computer off yet, but I have a feeling being reimbursed is going to be a real problem. If everyone gets together to file a complaint against this company, we maybe able to successfully file a class action against viscom and shopNBC.

ShopNBC knows of these problems but still allows viscom to sell their products through their network. I too am going to write to big class action and the attorney general to file a complaint for false advertising. Poor customer service and the portable DVD player is not really a free gift.
