I moved to a small town that has an ISP however it's expensive. So I decided to get a dish ISP. They claimed to be "America's #1 choice for satellite internet". If that's true I'd like to know how.

Before I connected I asked them if their service would be good for Netflix, they said yes. They were wrong. Two days after connection I had to call and tell them I was have problems with the speed and download. A customer support representative informed me I should upgrade to a higher speed (higher price) and that would solve the problem, so I did. I waited a day and still the same problem. To be honest it took me several hours to watch a single episode of one of my shows on Netflix.
I called again and this representative was actually honest with me. She informed me that due to the “daily download allowance” this is not a good service for Netflix. I thanked her for her help which only took a few minutes. Then I was transferred to the accounts department for disconnection…. This was hell on earth. I spoke with this guy for forty minutes and he couldn’t accept the fact that I wanted to disconnect. It was like breaking up with a girlfriend. Finally he agreed and completed the process. On top of the headache they made me disconnect the equipment on the roof because “ HughesNet is not responsible for paying to have the equipment removed”. What if it’s some elderly person? Bottom line, HughesNet is terrible. I wish I found this website before I connected with them. Fortunately I disconnected within the first thirty days before my contract was activated and I would have been stuck with them for two years.
