Invisble Shield ipad complete ripoff, fraud, lies... Stay away!

After getting my new ipad 3 I decided to get a screen protector. At Best Buy I saw one that said "ZAGG Invisible Shield, lifetime replacement guarantee, " however I was curious about the price: $30. For my last ipad I could get one for 5-10 bucks, so I thought "well it must be pretty good for 30 bucks, " however I was dead wrong. I never thought they'd end up costing almost $40, stealing my credit card # and threatening to charge up to a total of $100.

First of all, it's extremely difficult to install. I followed their directions "exactly" how they were printed. It left tons of bubbles all over, so I used their special tool to smooth out the bubbles, this squeegee tool only made the problem worse. Not only did it not get rid of the bubbles but it left deep, noticeable scratches on the screen protector. So after trying to get a few bubbles out with their squeegee, my screen protector was completely ruined with scratches all over it. And they claim that their screen protector is "military grade" and nearly "impossible to scratch, " which are obviously two huge lies.

They also claim "lifetime replacement for free, guaranteed" this is an absolute and complete lie. Not only is it not free, but they try to charge you for the replacement. So I go on their website and they make me pay $5 for shipping out the replacement and give them my credit card (which I never should have done, but thought they were a legit company). The replacement shield comes in the mail and it's also a complete piece of garbage. As I try to install it, it pulls off a piece of the paper it's attached to, leaving a permanent mark on it, then when trying again to get the numerous bubbles out it again leaves deep scratches all over. Then as I'm peeling it off to re-apply it, it tears and is completely worthless.

So I trash the ruined replacement shield, just like the original ruined shield that never worked. A couple days later I get a "Do Not Reply" email saying they will charge my credit card $45 until I send back the original ruined invisible shield...??? First of all, who sends a "We're Going to Charge Your Credit Card, DO NOT REPLY" email? First sign, that they're not legit, and a complete scam. So I send an email complaint to their office (which was hard to find) since I'm already out $35 with no screen protector. They reply by saying if I find the old receipt (that I no longer have) and send it to them they won't charge my card.

After receiving this email response from ZAGG, I immediately cancel my credit card to prevent any further fraudulent charges by them. It is absolutely insane that by just trying to get a screen protector I could get ripped off this bad paying up to almost $100 as a company tries to put fraudulent charges on my card. Don't trust ZAGG whatsoever, I find it amazing that Best Buy does business with such a fraudulent company, as they put their ZAGG merchandise at the front of their store. I'm out $35, and they want to charge an additional $45 and I still have no screen protector? Are the folks at ZAGG completely insane?

ZAGG LIES and Corruption:
