ZAGG: how to claim a warranty replacement, return a product or contact the company (checked October 12, 2026)
Start with the warranty page and your account. ZAGG's Sales, Refunds & Returns page says: "For warranty issues, submit a claim from within your Account Manager at any time during the warranty period. A valid credit card is required. If required, return the original product to ZAGG within sixty (60) days." The Warranty Policies page says the policy covers ZAGG, InvisibleShield, IFROGZ, mophie, Gear4 and BRAVEN products, asks you to register the product at ZAGG.com before a claim (products bought at ZAGG.com while signed in are registered at purchase), and says ZAGG "may ask you to send us a photograph of your product to validate the claim." Keep your order number, proof of purchase and photos.
Warranty periods the policy lists. A 30-day no-questions-asked return period; 90 days for ZAGG Max Protection screen protection and certified refurbished products; one, two or three years for other categories; and a "limited lifetime warranty" for InvisibleShield products (excluding the UV Sanitizer), ZAGG cases and mophie PRO Cable. The page says the lifetime warranty runs "as long as you own your device for device-specific products." For the limited lifetime and manufacturer warranties, the policy text says ZAGG will "either (1) replace the product, or (2) exchange the product with a product of equal value," at its option, and "may replace the product with a refurbished product"; a refund of the purchase price is listed only under the separate 30-day return policy. A replacement "assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement, whichever is greater." The page also says you may take a product to a supporting franchise location for a warranty replacement and that "a replacement or installation fee may apply."
Read the card-charge and shipping terms before you file. The policy says: "If return is required for your warranty, you accept and acknowledge that your credit card will be charged the full retail value of the replacement product if you fail to return the original product within 60 days of the request." It also says that if ZAGG requires return, ZAGG pays shipping of the original back to ZAGG for U.S. purchasers, while "Purchaser shall pay the shipping costs for the replacement product," and "Limit of 1 product item per warranty order." Separately, the "See details" text of the site's "Always free shipping" banner (shown on the Warranty Policies page) says free standard shipping applies to U.S. addresses on all purchases but "Warranty replacements are excluded," while another banner on the same pages reads "Free replacements for cases & screen protectors." Both statements are on the live pages; check the amount shown at the point of your claim.
Returns of a purchase. The Sales, Refunds & Returns page says to follow the return directions in its linked Knowledge Base article and submit a return request "within 30 calendar days of purchase for a full refund, credit, or exchange, no questions asked"; ZAGG Custom Cases "are not returnable and cannot be cancelled once you place your order"; "Claims for damaged or missing items must be received within two business days of receipt of merchandise." The Warranty Policies page adds that "Products purchased through other retailers must be returned pursuant to those retailers' return policies," that "Customized or personalized products and gift cards are not eligible for return," and, for the 30-day return, that "Customer is responsible for any necessary return shipping charges." For warranty claims, the Sales, Refunds & Returns page words it differently: "Customer may be responsible for any necessary return shipping charges." ZAGG's help-center article "How do I return an item for refund?" says to write the order number and "return for refund" on the outside of the package and lists, for customers in the Americas, ZAGG, 6244 Technology Ave., Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009; it says "Customer assumes all shipping charges, or any other fees associated with the transportation of the product to our facility," and that for products bought at a retail location the return must be started at that store. Use the address shown in your own return instructions if it differs. The Sales Terms on the same page say orders on ZAGG.com "cannot be cancelled" once placed and that ZAGG does not refund sales tax.
Other routes. The Customer Care page lists a Message Us form, the ZAGG Care help center and a corporate office line, 801-263-0699. If a company does not resolve a complaint, you can file with the BBB, your state attorney general or the FTC (ReportFraud.ftc.gov); for a product-safety incident, use SaferProducts.gov. If you bought through Amazon, eBay or another marketplace seller, note that the Warranty Policy says it "does not apply to products purchased from online vendors unauthorized to sell ZAGG product."
Product recalls involving ZAGG and mophie (CPSC)
HALO 1000 Portable Power Stations (CPSC recall 24-350, August 29, 2024). CPSC's notice names "ZAGG Inc. (ZAGG), of Midvale, Utah" as importer and says ZAGG, Alliance Consumer Group and QVC sold about 5,740 units from October 2021 through March 2022 for between $1,000 and $1,300. Hazard, in CPSC's words: "The lithium-ion batteries in the HALO 1000 Portable Power Station can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards that can lead to serious injury or death." CPSC reports a 79-year-old man in Bradenton, Florida died from smoke inhalation from a fire involving the recalled unit in June 2022, plus four reports of fires. Remedy: stop using the units and contact the HALO recall hotline, 888-345-0481 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday), for a free replacement. The model is PS-1000; the number is on the bottom of the unit.
mophie Juice Pack Air for iPod Touch 4G (CPSC recall 12-049, November 30, 2011). This recall was announced by "Mophie LLC, of Paw Paw, Mich." for a burn hazard. ZAGG's 10-K says it acquired mophie in March 2016, so the recall predates ZAGG's ownership; it is listed here because the brand is now sold by ZAGG. The CPSC remedy was to stop using the case and contact mophie for a replacement.
These are the only CPSC recall notices naming ZAGG or mophie that appeared in the SaferProducts.gov recall search run on October 12, 2026 for the names ZAGG, mophie, InvisibleShield, IFROGZ, Gear4 and BRAVEN; the search matched titles and firm fields only. Check the recall page for your product's model number.
ZAGG Inc: who runs the brand, where it is based and who owns it
Operator. The ZAGG.com Customer Care page lists ZAGG Inc., 910 West Legacy Center Way, Suite 500, Midvale, UT 84047, as the corporate headquarters, with a separate ZAGG International office in Shannon, County Clare, Ireland. The Sales Terms say orders are accepted by "ZAGG Inc and/or its wholly-owned subsidiaries." The 2019 Form 10-K lists ZAGG Inc as a Delaware registrant.
Products. The Warranty Policy applies to ZAGG, InvisibleShield, IFROGZ, mophie, Gear4 and BRAVEN products. ZAGG's 2019 10-K says it acquired IFROGZ in June 2011, mophie in March 2016, BRAVEN in July 2018, Gear4 in November 2018, and HALO in January 2019. The company said in its 2020 filing that it discontinued the BRAVEN audio brand and the battery case product category.
Ownership. ZAGG's February 22, 2021 press release (filed with the SEC) says it completed "its sale to a buyer group led by Evercel, Inc.", that stockholders would receive $4.20 per share in cash plus a contingent right to up to $0.30 per share, and that its stock would stop trading on Nasdaq. The BBB file lists the business as started in 2004 (page data) and incorporated in 2007; ZAGG's own pages checked did not state a founding year, so none is given as the company's claim here.

These are consumers' accounts; ZAGG's side of them was not presented to us. Counting by keyword (a post can be in more than one group): 10 mention the warranty or replacement process, 10 mention a credit card charge or authorization, 5 describe product quality such as peeling edges, 4 describe a refund or return not received, and 4 describe a wrong or late shipment or no response to an order. Most of the warranty posts describe shipping fees for a replacement and a charge when the original item was not received back. The warranty terms in effect in 2011 to 2012 were not retrieved; the current terms on this point are quoted in the first section of this page. No ZAGG posts after 2012 were found in this archive.
Court and investigation matters found in ZAGG's SEC filings
Young v. mophie Inc. (C.D. Cal. 8:19-cv-00827). ZAGG's Form 10-Q for September 30, 2020 describes a putative consumer class action alleging that mophie "mischaracterizes the mAh ratings of the batteries in its products," under California and Florida consumer-protection laws and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The filing says mophie denies the allegations; that the parties signed a written settlement on October 1, 2020 under which mophie would pay a nominal service award, reimburse plaintiffs' counsel up to $325 thousand in fees and costs, and "agrees to entry of a permanent injunction ordering changes to its package labeling and advertising practices for certain battery products"; and that a motion for court approval was pending. The docket (opened 2026-10-12) shows a minute order of November 5, 2020 granting the motion for approval of the class settlement, including service awards and attorney's fees, and a "Final Judgment and Order Approving Amended Settlement" entered November 30, 2020 that awards class counsel $325,000 in fees and expenses and terminated the case.
SEC investigation. The same filing says that in September 2020 the company "received a subpoena from the SEC" seeking documents on certain late-2018 sales transactions, an inventory write-down and related accounting, and that it was cooperating. The outcome is not stated in the sources checked. This relates to financial reporting, not to consumer products.
Shareholder suits over the sale. The January 2021 merger proxy lists four purported stockholder lawsuits about the proxy statement for the sale to the Evercel-led group; they are securities-disclosure claims, not consumer claims.
Is ZAGG Legitimate?
ZAGG Inc is an identifiable operating company: its own site gives a Midvale, Utah headquarters, it was a Nasdaq-listed SEC filer until February 2021, its products are sold under the ZAGG, InvisibleShield, mophie, HALO, Gear4 and IFROGZ names, and a CPSC recall notice names "ZAGG Inc. (ZAGG), of Midvale, Utah" as importer. On the review side, BBB showed an F rating and Trustpilot showed 1.4 from 2,114 reviews as displayed on October 12, 2026, and this site holds 13 archived complaints from 2007 to 2012, mostly about warranty-replacement fees, card charges and shipping. Those are consumer accounts and rating-site displays; they are not findings by a court or regulator. The company's written terms (30-day returns, tiered warranties, a card charge if a required return is not made within 60 days) are quoted above so you can compare them with your own order.
