Dear Sirs,

On Thursday last week (12 April) I had serious problems with my computer and asked for assistance. For this reason I have become your customer. My computer problem was solved but unfortunately I have some queries about your procedures and/or unclear behaviour on behalf of some member of your staff.

I called you because I had to activate your PC Cleaner Pro 2012 product and the person who answered my call was very prompt to help and did activate the pc cleaner. He then offered to sell me covered assistance for one year, which I agreed. I then filled in the form given to me. The transaction finished at 09.26 and €240,83 was withdrawn from my Visa card.

At this point he offered me a better guarantee for a few dollars more. I was so anxious to have my problem resolved that I accepted this new, better offer which he was very quick to handle, sending me yet another form to fill in. I told him I would not compile the new form until the previous one had not been cancelled. He assured me he would destroy it immediately. This did not occur – at 09.30 another €296,60 was withdrawn from my Visa card.

At this point he explained and showed me through remote mode that I could have serious computer problems in the near future and offered to solve the problem by passing the matter to a Microsoft technician, at a small charge, which he did. I then spoke to Mr. Pushendra Yadav code 24827who worked on the problem until 02,15am, solving the main problems – at 03,25 am yet another €295,90 was withdrawn from my Visa card.

To cut a long story short, 4 separate withdrawals were made from my Visa card totalling €881,66 (almost $1,200) while I have only 2 receipts for a total of $428,28 (approx. €317,24). I think you must admit that something is very wrong here and to say the least, not clear.

If I had known it would have cost me approx. $1,200 to fix and safeguard my computer I would not have bothered – I would have gone out the next day and bought myself a new one!!!

I would appreciate your prompt and fully explanatory reply, with documented receipts, before putting the matter in the hands of my legal advisor. Yours faithfully,

Luigi Sabbatucci.
