Poor service fraudulent charges for equipment not sent charged after cancelling

Poor Service -
Ordered a dedicated ISDN connection. Was told it would take 24-48 hours to get the static IP address assigned. A week later it still wasn't done, and was getting various excuses like "it works here". Even though it was a dedicated connection - supposed to be 24/7 (not unlimited but true dedicated), was repeatedly getting dropped every few hours. When I cancelled they claimed it was my equipment that was causing it. Which strangely enough works with others just fine.

Fraudulent billing -
At first I thought it was a mistake. But reading the other reports here, I don't think so now. The day after I cancelled, 2 charges appeared on my debit card. One for $149.95 and another for $150.00. When I called about them, I was told it was for the equipment they sent. They never sent any! I didn't need it. I already had my own. They'd research it, and call me back in 1 to 2 hours. The next day, I called them again. This time I was told it was a mistake, and he has issued the credit to the card. I looked at the account, and it wasn't there. He then said it would take 3 to 5 days to show up. It's still not there.

Adding Insult to Injury -
Today I noticed that there's a new charge on the card. This time for the regular billing amount for service. I had complied with the Terms of Service by cancelling before the 25th. I cancelled on the 22nd, then had follow up calls on the 23rd and 24th about the charges. So they can't say they didn't get notified in time. Now I can't get a hold of anyone there. So after reading some reports here I filed with the New Your State Attorney General's office. I'd suggest others do the same as they say they look for patterns of complaints. I had to go to the bank and hot card the debit card today as well. As it seems others say they're in Hyde Park and somewhere in California, I thought it best not just to try to block the terminal id. I also started the process of disputing all of the charges - $349.90 in all. Plus as I see it they owe me for the $41 I got charged when their "mistake" caused me to use my overdraft protection. I'll be sending a demand for payment for that next week.
