I am writing about the Ge Hydrowave washer with infusion technology. This washer is horrible! It does NOT clean clothing properly. I have 2 young children so of course our clothes are messy, however, I'm not talking about stain removal, I'm talking about removing just plain dirt/food particles from clothing. For example, my son got some food on his shirt (only a dime sized spot) and when it went into the washer, it was inside out. After I had dried the clothes and turned the shirt right side in, the food was still crusted onto the shirt! I put it in the sink to clean it and the food came off just with agitating the shirt in water. This is just one example of many. The worst part of this particular incident is that this was a very small load of laundry so it's not as if the washer was overloaded and the shirt wasn't cleaned properly because of that. I've been to websites that give tips on using this washer and we've done everything (checking water pressure, making sure hoses were not crimped, keeping the infuser visible, doing smaller loads) and NOTHING works to make this washer actually clean you clothes properly. We've had this washer for 2 years and if we could afford it, we would buy something else. I am happy to have found this website because I thought there was nothing we could do about this issue. Ge dropped the ball with this washer and I would much rather pay an extra $10 or more a month in our utiliy bills and have clean clothes than have to walk around knowing my clothes are not as clean as they should be.
