I am 17 years old and I wrote a poem into the contest for american poets. I wrote a very beautiful poem and i recieved a letter from the company stating they would like to publish my poem. Well on the flip side they wanted me to buy this book that cost almost 50 odd dollars. I have had one poem published by poetry.com and I am able to get on that site and see my poem, with the american poetry I have yet to see my poem.
The only thing i got from the them is an author's proof, i am really concerned as to if my poem has been published. I am in a grouphome and i spend alot of time writing i have a whole book of poetry in my diary. It just makes me really mad because I want my work to be seen i want to be acknowledged for my good works. What should i do?
