The owner Anita Roberts failed to provide me with the proper equipment and resources that I need to perform my job that is asked of me has resulted in forcing me to resign from working with them.
I was told in the interview that I was going into a full time position when I showed up to the work place on June 20 I found out that it was contracted though I was forced to work in her office, so she was in violation of the IRS laws of independent vs employee.
The computers in the office did not work properly she was aware of the problem and ordered another computer but it did not come in until 1 week after I started and the programs were not installed or purchased.
The programs finally came in on Friday July 1 and they were student additions so I did not open that package as I was not a student and it would be fraud to fake like I was. I notified Anita Roberts and she said "you didn't open it that is stupid you should have found a student and gotten this taken care of"
On Saturday July 2 she was planning a 3 week trip to Hawaii I needed to get information on when I would bereceiving the files for the magazine that I was to produce in her absence. She refused to give me information we got into a heated discussion which resulted in me quitting the job. I told her she needed to pay me for the time I worked there and this was concluded. She refused payment and demanded the keys to the office be returned. At first I did tell her she would get the keys when I get
my pay and personal items back from her. She threatened to deduct the keys from my pay then she threatened to take my personal items home with her. After that threat (I have this in email) I contacted the Westlake police dept. And a police officer escorted me to the office so owner would have to give me my items and she would not be able to claim that she never got the keys. I have a police witness that she admitted to owing me money to and that witness the exchange of my stuff for
hers.
She contacted me again a week after I left the company claiming that I had master files on my computer. I worked on one thing and one thing only at my house and it was done so that I could upload files to have them printed. The master file that she
claimed that I had was on the other employees computer. She threatened to deduct money from me for having the files which I did not have. She was supposed to pay me $1250 for the 2 weeks that I worked in her office she only paid me
$515.
I received a phone call about 2 weeks after I left the company. A writer that was also working with her was having the same problems.
This woman has harassed me and slandered my name to others as well as ripped me off whatever you do do not work for this woman she will steal from you and harass you.
