This company connected me by robocall and stated that I signed up in 2005 and because they claim I didn't cancel after the single year I paid for via credit card, I now owed them for every year since then and demanded almost $200. I advised that they can check their records and see that I haven't used their poor and slow service since 2005 and that I did cancel after the year was up. They said that if I didn't pay it was "serious" and that they would take me to a collection agency. I advised them to send me the contract and that I would take it to the Toronto Star and file a complaint about this deceptive/criminal practice so others could be warned never to sign with this poor excuse for a company. I also toled them that they should take me to court instead as I won't be giving them a dime. Once I get the contract, I'm going to the Minister of Consumer Affairs and my MPP as well as the Toronto Star as this kind of OBVIOUS fraud should be a crime and investigated by the Police as well.
If these people call you, don't give them a penny. NOBODY has the right to ask you to pay for a service you didn't use and to do so more than half a decade after the fact!
