Wildblue Satelite Internet — poor service and FRAUD!

My complaints are like most of the other complaints: poor service, long time for service calls (went without internet for two weeks waiting for repair man), etc. But my biggest complaint about Wildblue came when trying to disconnect. The service was terrible, slow, and expensive for what amounts to dial up. DSL finally became available at my business location.

I called to disconnect. The woman I spoke to said that my "contract" required that I pay a disconnect fee that was the amount of three months of service. I told her I signed no contract.in fact, I was not present at my business when they installed the system. My employee said that he did not sign anything when they installed the system.

This WildBlue representative said she would have to pull up the contract. I told her I would like to see a copy of that contract. She came back on the phone and said she had no record of a contract. She would cancel the service and I would not be charged the disconnect fee. She gave me an confirmation number for the disconnect.

A couple of weeks pass by and I receive a bill notice in my e-mail for WildBlue. I call WildBlue to ask them about this. They told me that my service had not been disconnected, and that I would have to pay the disconnect fee. I explained the situation to this representative. He insisted that I would have to pay the fee for a breach of contract. Then tells me that the contract is still valid even if I didn't sign my name. I told this representative (who I think was 12 — let's file a complaint on child labor laws as well) nobody can sign my name for me unless they have power of attorney. He has no response to that, so he transfers me to someone in there billing office.

The woman I spoke to repeated the same thing. I told her of my conversation with their rep two weeks ago, gave her the confirmation number. Miraculously, this rep from two weeks ago was in error and they have my contract, and it has my signature on it and she can legibly read it as my name. (I know that's a lie, because my signature looks like Chinese character, not legible words.)

I asked this rep if she could explain how they have my signature on this document when I was not present to sign it. "You signed it, " is what she said.

I asked her why they didn't have the contract on file when I called two weeks ago. She said the rep didn't research the case thoroughly enough.

I told her I would like to see a copy of the contract. Dead silence.

She said she wasn't certain if they had access to a fax machine in that department. I told her I would like to see a copy of that contract.

This rep claims she is going to fax me this contract which allegedly has my signature. Two days have passed and I still do not have a copy of this contract.

The rep said that they would charge my credit card for the disconnect fee. I said I would have my credit card reverse the charge. She said they would turn the matter over to a collection agency if I didn't pay them.

It is ashame that they have poor service, but what is really ashame is that they would resort to forgery and bullying tactics when a customer tries to leave.

Please stay away from WildBlue, they are bad news.
