After being double billed by our hotel for our 2-night stay we found that Expedia charged us 26% over their cost of the room. (I was double billed because Expedia had not paid the hotel in the 5 weeks they had had our money.)

When I contacted Expedia, "Audrey", a customer service supervisor, rudely told me that they had negotiated the reduced price from the hotel so I wasn't entitled to a refund. Obviously they don't pass on their savings to their customers. As a matter of fact all they guarantee is to charge less then the rates "Available to the General Public Online". Other guests can be paying considerably less for comparable stays and you have no recourse so do yourself a favor, read all of the fine print and proceed at your own risk if planning on using this company. They have tied up all of the legal loose ends in order to take advantage of their customers and if given a chance, they will. Google their company complaints and check out Expedia Sucks on Facebook to see for yourself. I wish I had.
