We purchased a 4 year motor home warrenty for $3,500 from General RV which was through SiGNET. Now this warranty was recommended through General RV and told us that at the end of the 4 year contract we would get a refund of the full amount if we did not use the warranty. At the end of the warranty I sent in everything they required for proof - Bill of sale, photo of motor home, current registration, copy of warranty contract, etc. After 3 weeks I received a post card in the mail their was a package in the post office returned - I just know who it was from. Sure enough, on the envelope it stated the the PO Box was closed by the company.
Well I called General RV talked with Phillis and she refered me to a gentleman who said that it closed up in 09 (never received any notice of this). Then I called General RV back and talked with Phillis and told her whats going on, she said that they just found out about this in March, but when I talked her in April she made no mentioned of this. She was insuinating that they just found out, but I pointed out that I talked with on in April, so they know when I talked with her.
This is fraud in the since of not complying with the signed contract. I want my $3,500 back and they are responsible. I have copies of everything. The other thing is that the Bill of Sale has General RV's name on it collecting the sum of money, they are representiving SIGNET. Is that something that we can go after?
