Hidden Costs SMS

I participated in a online contest - there were no costs mentioned at all. Now I am receiving SMS on my cell with 2$ per SMS fees that I never new existed. I opted out by saying STOP and they still send me SMS. I just did my second attempt at opting out today 15th of April.
